Too Much Trivia in the Pants

Mystery wikipedia editors

Another downer for this year’s contest. Throughout the weekend, critical information for trivia questions has been edited in Wikipedia as the questions are being asked. We tracked down at least one IP from these cheaters to Lawrence University. Are the Triviamasters doing this because they are lazy question writers or are the trivia teams doing this to prevent other teams from getting the right answer?

Other trivia teams, check the history if using Wikipedia or you may be misled.

If you are the ones doing this, stop being assholes.

We noticed this on the Batman clock question, which was altered 5 minutes before and 5 minutes after. I suspect it was a trivia master trying to make the searching harder.

We caught it on quite a few different questions over the weekend — especially anything that could easily be found on Wikipedia. Check the history pages, because there are some that saw edits from as many as three different people within minutes. Trivia Masters? Other teams? Somebody needs to grow up, that much is for sure!
